Description (anglais) : ‘The years 1456-59 were bad harvest years. When a new cattle tax was also put out to tender, the farmers gathered in the mountains around Werfen in 1458. They were quickly calmed down by the tax rebate. This rapid success will have contributed to the fact that four years later a new, much wider uprising broke out in the same area.’
