Description (anglais) : Continuation of the previous day's events. By 7 a.m, a crowd of some 2,000 people gathered at Louis Berthauld's house. In the early afternoon, the local authorities finally left the hôtel de ville reinforced by a few loyal militiamen, and 'went wading straight into the crowd of people despite their efforts to stop us and the blows from rocks they were constantly throwing'. and managed to get the rioters to leave the premises.
