Description (anglais) : The inhabitants of Gignac rebelled against the reorganization of their district, when the town lost its administrative jurisdiction (la viguerie de Gignac) and became absorbed into the viguerie of Béziers. The king's lieutenant in Béziers severely repressed the revolt and the town was futher fined 3,000 florins by the king. Course of action: Armed conflict. Repression: Repressed.
