Description (anglais) : In September 1562, Catholic forces from Arles captured Saint-Gilles, a heavily Protestant town. The Protestants of Nîmes immediately sent forces to retake Saint-Gilles. After quickly retaking the town, they destroyed the retreating Catholic forces.
